Our family lived in the Mackenzie Residence at 6010 – 111 Avenue in the Highlands district in Edmonton until 1969.
The residence was built in 1912 by McGrath-Holgate & Co. at a cost of $4,000. Kenneth W. Mackenzie, Edmonton's first mayor, lived in the house from 1916 to 1922.
