I believe sustainability represents the best that our species has to offer. It’s the idea that we can pursue prosperity, protect the planet and treat each other with the respect and dignity that all people deserve. Sustainability in its purest form is hard to reach – it’s a high bar that drives technical innovation, ethical standards and environmental stewardship.

It ultimately represents both progress in the form we have come to understand it, economic growth – but it also is progressive in the social/environmental sense – and that somehow the two can be pursued simultaneously.
