KYLE CHERITON

career

My career has been an important part of who I am and has taken me much farther than I could have imagined when I was starting out. I’ve had the opportunity to live and work in different countries, experience different cultures, and work with some remarkable organizations and people. Along the way, I’ve built businesses, introduced new ideas, developed teams and learned how much can be accomplished when people with different perspectives work toward a common goal.

What I value most, looking back, isn’t a particular title or achievement. It’s the experiences, relationships and lessons accumulated along the way. I learned to be curious, to challenge conventional thinking, to take calculated risks, to adapt when things didn’t go as planned, and above all, to appreciate the importance of people.

Although I’m now retired, I don’t see my career as something I’ve simply left behind. The experiences and lessons from those years continue to shape how I approach mentoring, volunteering and life in general. My career was about much more than work—it helped make me the person I am today.
